recent photos!~ :D

Ok so apparently I am really horrible when it comes to blogs.....so here is an update. I have been at EKU in Richmond KY for a year and a half now. I have maintained three jobs: one as a salesperson, one as a server and one as a hostess. My sorority may be driving me nuts so I should be out of that in about a month. I just signed the papers for my VERY OWN FIRST APARTMENT!! :D Im so excited! Anyone wanting to make donations of housewares I would greatly appreciate it! lol. My major is criminal justice and I am so excited for my classes next semester, half of which are major classes! My grades are pretty bad, Im not going to lie; however, I will have one job, my own apartment, and Ill be out of the sorority by next semester so from here on I will have good grades. This I promise! I haven't had a boyfriend since this time last year, but I've dated a bit. This new guy I am talking to shares my major and is really sweet. I doubt it will go anywhere because summer is approaching and he is graduating college...hmmph..oh well. My Dad came to visit on the 15th! We had a total blast! We went out to eat, laughed hysterically, went to see Kick Ass together, and overall had a really good time! (besides the whole getting lost in Louisville thing :D) I love you Dad! I go home in two weeks THANK GOD and I can't wait to get back to my old job in Alexandria VA! I miss those guys so much.

And it Begins....

I appologize for the lack of writing on my part in the last few weeks. Everything has been so hectic with school it's hard to keep up. Well let's see.....I'm now taking 16.5 credit hours at Eastern Kentucky University as a nursing major with a minor in music. It's a strange combination but I've decided it's what I want to do. I've yet to find a job around here but I should get one soon. This semester I'm taking Chemistry, psychology, concert band, math, english, flute ensemble, and flute workshop, as well as a required orientation class. I LOVE it here. I've already met a ton of friends and I rushed tonight for a sorority called Pi Beta Phi...They are all amazing girls with beautiful goals, minds, and hearts. Jordan ( my best friend since the 8th grade) and I will be rooming together pretty soon but right now I'm rooming with a really nice girl named Victoria. We get along great and I'll be a little dissappointed to lose her...
I've been keeping up with the gym hoping to lose a goal amount of 15 pounds....10 is fine too but it's just so I can push myself. The gym here is AMAZING!! It has a two story rock climbing wall as well as two GIANT weight rooms, a basketball court and a quarter mile indoor track! The food, I might add, isn't too bad either. SO far I really truly believe I made the right choice in coming here and despite the fact that I miss living at home, everything here is perfect. I'll make another post soon to tell you whether I made it into the sorority!
love you all

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Merry Christmas from Kentucky! I made it alive as you can see..and I was excited to discover that the drive is actually 8 hours instead of 10 lol. I drove for the first time on a freeway on the way up here which was pretty crazy! I did well but I don't think my Aunt Lil (grandma's best friend in the army) was too comfy with me driving her brand new 50 000 dollar car ...

On another note...
we got into Wallins Creek Kentucky at about 930pm on the 23rd and I was crazy excited to see my grandparents and Aunt Delcia! We walked in and found about a ton of presents under their beautifully decorated Christmas tree. JUST to point out to you, my Mom, Daron, sister and I had already opened our gifts from eachother before our trip so this was a huge surprise..
Our Christmas Eve was great fun as it started by waking up at 1030, eating my Aunt Delcia's famous scrambled eggs and toast with rhubarb jelly, and then making our way to the Patton family traditional lunch place---> WENDY's

I certainly found this amusing but enjoyed my baked potato immensely..: )
ANOTHER family tradition here is to open gifts on Christmas Eve...which is when I got the laptop on which I'm typing this blog! I also got a few new purses, some candy, cash, a new makeup brush kit, and new pajamas of course!
I think besides Wendy's one of the funniest thing we did was to, as a family, scratch off our christmas stocking scratchers!! lol of COURSE Hannah was the only one who won anything, but it was fun all the same.

Christmas day was full of LAZINESS...lol we ate, rested, ate, rested, and ate again, all the while visiting one another and enjoying our Christmas gifts. tonight we went over to my aunt's and sang out of the hymnal while Mom played the Christmas music on the piano. It's always nice to sing with mom, we connect through music that way : )

ALL AROUND, I think that my Christmas was extremely enjoyable and I can't wait to start school soon!

TIME FOR FAMILY GAMES!

THE BEGINNING

I have decided to start a blog to keep my family and friends involved in my upcoming college life and beyond. For the past week I've been in Arizona visiting my family I haven't seen in a long while. I'm excited for school and I can't wait to be out on my own. Until then I am spending as much time as I can with family and friends. For all of you who may read this blog please leave a comment now and then. I would love to hear from you! Well back to family night!
